A weekend of painting & drawing. With full board accommodation with Atholl House, Dunvegan.
Autumn/Winter on Skye offer some of the most dramatic and atmospheric scenes. An inspiring time to create landscape works. This weekend of drawing and painting is suitable for all levels of experience, whether just wanting studio time with other creative people or as a beginner wanting to get started drawing and painting the landscape. The course explores drawing, responding to the landscape through sketchbook work and painting in the studio to further develop work in a variety of media.
There will be opportunity to make your own charcoal/ink to use over the weekend and to take home with you. The course is designed to ‘go with the flow’ with the weather, an aspect of landscape painting, we as artists develop as part of our creative process, at any time of year, especially here in the Hebrides! The weekend aims to help you develop your approach and creative process, working in response to land, deepen our connection to nature and exploring ‘A Sense of Place’ expressing this through different media inks/watercolour, oil, pigment, wax, and oil sticks using our sketchbooks as a visual journal for ideas and experiments.
Cost £970 Accommodation full board, tuition and materials included (price based on 2 people sharing a room). Non painting partners welcome. Please check with Atholl House for single occupancy on prices etc.
